Welcome to Eating at The Felin Fach Griffin
In between Brecon and Hay-on-Wye, right in the heart of Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) National Park, you’ll find The Felin Fach Griffin – our much-loved inn, where good food, proper hospitality and a relaxed setting go hand in hand.
We take great pride in our food and believe it should reflect the place we live in. That means strong flavours, well-sourced ingredients and dishes that change with the seasons. Our menus are led by what’s coming out of the organic kitchen garden, the fields and farms that surround us, and the local estates that supply game, meat and more.
There’s always a warm welcome at the bar – we serve a fine selection of local ales, carefully chosen wines and some excellent non-alcoholic options too. Whether you’re popping in for a quiet pint, lunch after a morning walk, or sitting down for a full supper, our team will make sure you’re well looked after.
We serve food every day – lunch and dinner through the week, and a traditional Sunday lunch at the weekend. Our dining spaces are relaxed and informal, just as we like them, and we’re always happy to cater for dietary requirements if you let us know.

How to book
The Welsh Borders are home to farmers producing great ingredients. Welsh beef and lamb, game from local estates, cheeses from world renowned dairies. And, like so many things, food is best kept simple. We have built the reputation of the Griffin's kitchen on this maxim and it is continued by Head Chef, Gwenann Davies.
