Discover the wild edibles of the Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) National Park with Brecon Beacons Foraging – offering accessible, informative and hands-on experiences for all ages and levels of interest.
From regular group walks to bespoke botanical adventures, each course is designed to help you connect with the land and learn how to safely identify and use the plants that grow around us.
Regular Courses
Join a relaxed half-day foraging session departing from The Angel Hotel in Abergavenny on the last Sunday of each month, from March to October. Meeting at 10am, these friendly and informative walks are perfect for beginners and families. Children go free (one per paying adult).
Looking for a midweek option? Small group sessions can be arranged near Brecon for parties of four or more.
Bespoke Foraging Experiences
Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or simply want to deepen your knowledge of the natural larder, tailor-made foraging experiences are available throughout the region – ideal for holidaymakers or locals keen to discover what’s in season.
Botanical Gin Foraging
For something a little different, the 3-hour gin foraging workshop includes a guided forage for wild botanicals and the chance to craft your own 300ml gin blend, with a cocktail to finish.
Gift vouchers are also available – a thoughtful and sustainable present for nature lovers.
