Welcome to Pobl Bakery at Talgarth Mill
Nestled within the historic Talgarth Mill in the heart of Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) National Park, Pobl Bakery is a cherished bakery renowned for it’s naturally leavened sourdough breads and indulgent pastries.
Founded by bakers Alex and Kathy, Pobl emphasises traditional baking methods, ensuring each creation is crafted from scratch using locally sourced, preferably organic ingredients. The flour is often milled in house when water and grain allow.
This commitment to quality and sustainability fosters a strong connection between producers and the community.
Visitors are welcomed from Wednesday to Saturday, starting at 9am, with the enticing aroma of freshly baked goods often greeting early patrons.
Given the bakery’s popularity, it’s advisable to arrive promptly, as items are available until sold out.
Beyond its delectable offerings, Pobl Bakery contributes to the vibrant atmosphere of Talgarth Mill, a fully restored 18th-century flour mill powered by the River Ellywe. This unique setting allows guests to enjoy exceptional baked goods while immersing themselves in the rich history and scenic beauty of the area.
