Perfectly placed just a mile from Brecon in the heart of Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) National Park, Arch Cottage offers a warm welcome and a peaceful base for exploring this spectacular part of Wales. Whether you’re chasing waterfalls, climbing Pen y Fan, or simply looking to relax, this beautifully converted former stable barn is ideal for couples or small families.

Sleeps up to 4, Arch Cottage blends traditional character with modern comforts. Expect oak beams, stone walls, lime plaster and lime paints, all brought together with a smart, cosy finish. The lounge features a log-burning fire, plush sofas and a Smart TV – perfect for relaxing after a day in the hills. The well-equipped kitchen includes an induction hob, dishwasher, fridge-freezer, microwave and Nespresso machine, while the dining area is perfect for romantic meals by the fire.

There are two bedrooms – one with a king-size bed, the other with a 4ft wide double – both with USB charging points and plenty of storage. The bathroom features an electric shower over the bath, and outside you’ll find a patio and lawned garden with seating, as well as private parking beside the cottage.

With fast WiFi, excellent insulation, and peaceful surroundings, Arch Cottage also makes a fantastic ‘workcation’ spot.

From the doorstep, enjoy gentle walks up Mynydd Illtyd or head to the nearby National Park Visitor Centre for panoramic views and a cream tea. Stargazing experiences with Dark Sky Wales are also available locally. Brecon’s canal, theatre, golf courses and shops are nearby, and wider attractions including Crickhowell, Hay-on-Wye, waterfalls, biking trails, and activity centres are all within half an hour’s drive.
