Tucked away in the Talgarth Conservation Area and facing the quiet slopes of Mynydd Troed, Tegfan Garden Suite offers private, spacious accommodation in the heart of Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) National Park.

Originally built in 1901 as a Victorian greenhouse, the suite has been thoughtfully converted into a self-contained studio that balances comfort, sustainability and a strong sense of place. It’s ideal for a romantic retreat or small family stay, sleeping two adults (plus two children) with ease. The ground floor layout includes a kingsize bed, a cosy lounge and dining area, a fully fitted kitchen, en-suite shower room, and outdoor space to take in the views.

You’ll be welcomed with a generous Welsh hamper featuring freshly baked bread, fridge essentials, and award-winning Black Mountains Preserves – made by your host, Helen. Additional food options such as homemade evening meals or breakfast delivered to your door are also available on request. Sustainability is central here, with solar panels reducing reliance on the grid and local produce at the heart of your stay.

Tegfan is perfectly placed for exploring the National Park – just 1.5 miles from Bronllys Castle and within easy reach of Pwll-y-Wrach Nature Reserve. Brecon, Hay-on-Wye and Crickhowell are nearby, offering plenty to discover. Guests also enjoy mini-golf on-site and Helen’s insights as a Brecon Beacons Ambassador, with local tips on everything from scenic walking routes to independent food festivals and gliding experiences.
